Water Quality Project Manager

This is a full-time, at will, non-exempt position which serves as Project Manager for the Coos Soil and Water Conservation District (Coos SWCD). Coos SWCD has a small staff, and each of the staff is often called upon to do a wide range of job duties. Because of this, flexibility, initiative, excellent communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills are crucial to the position. The Project Manager (PM) is primarily responsible for identifying, planning, developing, fundraising, and implementing various conservation and restoration projects within the District. This position also performs the necessary functions to implement monitoring, technical assistance, outreach, and stakeholder engagement projects. The PM, under the general direction of the District Manager (DM), is also responsible for helping to secure and manage grant funding to support the projects they manage. Securing grant funding is an important component of sustaining this position and the District’s conservation programs.
